Natalie Kant is the counselor at Skyview Middle School for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD). A school counselor since 2003, Natalie Kant knows about building an award winning school counseling program from the ground up – and improving on it each year. Natalie’s platforms include Response to Intervention (RTI), analyzing data, master scheduling, organizational skills, and advocating for all students. Natalie surrounds herself with the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model which allows her to be a better counselor.
In 2014, she was recognized as the Counselor of the Year for the State of Alaska. In 2016, she was the Alaska school counselor state representative and attended the school counselor of the year ceremonies in Washington DC. In 2017, she was recognized as the first school counselor in the State of Alaska to receive the RAMP (Recognized American School Counselor Association Model Program) award.
