Schools Page – April 3, 2017

Track and Field begins today!   Any student who wishes to join Track must turn in the required sports forms before participation.  Forms must be filled out for each sport.  All forms can be picked up at the Front Office or found online at > Skyview Sports > Required Sports Paperwork> Forms 1 – 2.  Please complete the forms and pay the participation fee as soon as possible.

Early release is Wednesday, April 5 – Skyview Middle School students end the school day at 1:00 pm.

Final Site Council Meeting is Thursday, April 6 at 3:30 pm in the Skyview Middle School Library.  Following from 5:00 to 6:00 pm will be Superintendent Dusek “State of the KPBSD” address. Topics will include a Kenai Peninsula Borough funding and legislative update and a question and response time.

The 28th Annual Juried Student Art Show, Visual Feast, is at the Kenai Fine Arts Center in old town Kenai until April 28th.  Artwork from Middle School and High School students from across the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will be represented.  Middle School Awards will be presented during a reception on Thursday, April 6 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.  Please stop by to see all the amazing work!

Congratulations to Katherine Delker –  2017 Skyview Middle School Masonic Student of the Year!  Katherine demonstrates outstanding qualities in 5 areas: Character, Academic Achievement, Extra Curricular Activities, Leadership, and Community Volunteering.  She was selected from a group including four other exceptional finalists:  Zachary Burns, Olivia Davis, Nicholas McConnell and Grace Wahl.  Katherine will be recognized with other KPBSD recipients at the Masonic Lodge Outstanding Student Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 28 at Kenai Central High School Auditorium.

Limited Yearbooks for Sale – There are a very limited number of yearbooks still available! Order only at the office, first come, first serve. You must have your $35 in hand to order, no order forms will be sent home. Yearbooks have already been ordered and these are the few extras. No personalization is available. Get yours while you still can!
