4th Quarter is underway!

MaCady Musgrave was chosen as the March 8th Grade Chamber Student of the Month.  She will be honored at the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Tuesday, March 29 at Froso’s Restaurant.  Congratulations Macady!

Alaska Measures of Progress (AMP) testing for all 7th and 8th grade students begins on Tuesday, March 29.  Please have students to school on time.

Track and Field will begin on Monday, April 4!   Any student who wishes to join Track must turn in the required sports forms before participation.  Forms must be filled out for each sport.  All forms can be picked up at the Front Office or found online at > Skyview Sports > Required Sports Paperwork> Forms 1 – 2.  Please complete the forms and pay the participation fee as soon as possible.

Attention all 8th grade students interested in serving on Student Council at Soldotna High School/Soldotna Prep for the 2016-2017 school year:  Applications and Teacher Recommendation forms are due back to Mrs. Pothast by the end of the school day on April 13th at which time the candidate pool will be narrowed down to no more than ten 8th graders.  The final ten will be interviewed on Thursday, April 28th by SoHi Student Activities Director, Mrs. Marquez, and members of the SoHi Student Council.  Only FIVE members of the Class of 2020 will be selected to serve in Student Council next year.  Please contact Mrs. Pothast with questions.

The Panther Student Council would like to thank everyone who attended the March Activity Night!  Special thanks to the Alaska State Trooper volunteers who hosted the airplane contest and Jumpin’ Junction for donating the Velcro Wall!  Activity Night wouldn’t be possible without our awesome parent and staff volunteers.  Many thanks to all of the adults who help us make this event a fun and safe place for our kids!  And a big shout out to our StuCo helpers – you guys ROCK!  Congratulations to the following Activity Night prize winners:  Candy Jar Guesses:  Olivia Schwenk, Seraiah Dorman, Kaylee Fann, Mrs. Angleton, and Maxwell Rogers;  Airplane Contest:  1st place – Jaron Kenner (74’4”) , 2nd place – Marceles Sepulveda (57’), 3rd place – Noah Walker (49’5”);  Dance Contest:  1st place – Harley Thomas, 2nd place – Trayce Lyon and 1st place Nelson Watt, 2nd place John Einerson.
